Prayer Practices

As we enter into God’s presence in prayer, our desire is for our whole selves- body, heart and mind- to encounter and respond to God. The various ways of praying offered here help to create a framework for holistic prayer.

Ancient Practices

  • Lectio Divina

This method of “Holy Reading” creates space for the Spirit to speak to us as we read Scripture.

  • Examen

This prayer helps us to notice God’s movement in our lives and our response to that movement.

  • Imaginative Prayer Practice

Our imagination is a gift God has given each of us to help us experience God more!
